Former Brazil legend Rivaldo believes Neymar can still play for Europe’s top teams. Neymar has returned to Santos this season after terminating his contract with Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
The 33-year-old was named in coach Dorival Junior’s Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina, but was forced to withdraw from the squad after suffering an injury.

“Neymar is a great player. I like his style of play. If he can keep the form he did with Santos, scoring goals and getting his rhythm back, he can play for any team.”
“If not Barcelona, he will go to another big European team in the summer,” Rivaldo said.
On Barca and coach Hansi Flick, Rivaldo added: “The way they’re playing, with joy, unity in the locker room, and a lot of respect for the coach’s demands, we can go far. Barcelona is very much alive in all three competitions and has everything it takes to win another treble.”
However, Deco has spoken about Neymar recently and made it clear that signing the Brazilian certainly isn’t anything the club are thinking about right now.
